Our Thoughts
We are excited to share with you the first of three filters from Costa Rica. From producer Jesus Mora, the Finca El Cipres is a beautiful; washed coffee reminding us of mango, passionfruit and nutmeg.
Enjoyable with any soft brew method. We hope you enjoy this coffee as much as we do.
Background
Its name is due to a centenary tree, located in the center of the property, since 1938. Don Egerico Mora and Adelina Camacho, enterprising and visionary people, acquired the land located in Llano bonito de Leon Cortes, it was a time of agricultural expansion, they dedicated the farm to extensive cattle ranching and the cultivation of Arabic and hybrid coffee.
In the 1970s, the mother estate was divided, as Doña Lina inherited it from her children. One part becomes Finca El Ciprés whose owner is Jesús Mora and family
